Version 3.6
Jan, 1996
Copyright (c) 1995
By: Richard Zakas
WHAT IS IT ?
------------
CDRILL is a utility program that provides machinists and CNC
programmers an easy method to compute the depth to move a center
drill to produce a center of a given diameter.
LIMIT OF LIABILITY
CDRILL is distributed as-is. The author disclaims all
warranties, expressed or implied. The author will assume no
liability for damages either from the direct use of this product or
as a consequence of the use of this product. This offer is a limited
time offer and pre-empts any previous offer.
SHAREWARE
This is a shareware version of CDRILL, and it is fully functional.
You are encouraged to try this SHAREWARE version, and if you find it
of value, to register your copy. You are granted a limited license
to use this shareware version for a "reasonable" period of time. The
registration fee is $25.00 U.S., and $30.00 outside the U.S. This
registration fee entitles you to use CDRILL beyond a trial period.
Registered users will also be able to upgrade their copy of CDRILL,
by removing the registration screen. When sending in your registration,
you MUST mention the version you are registering, where you obtained
CDRILL, and the registration fee. Any suggestions or comments are
always appreciated, so if you have something you want included or
changed in the program, please write.

USING CDRILL
CDRILL is run from the DOS command line. Type CDRILL and then
press <ENTER>. When the main screen comes up you will see a chart
of various center drill sizes and the center sizes each one
is capable of producing. For example, if you needed to produce a
.330 dia center, looking at the chart you can use a # 5, 6, 7, or
8 center drill. You pick 6 So.......
Enter Dia. of Center needed: .330 <ENTER>
Enter Center Drill to use: 6 <ENTER>
and then the program calculates the drill depth needed to
produce a .330 center using a #6 center drill.
Drill Depth is : .37824
NOTE:
=====================================================================
Center drill sizes 11 to 18 are protected center drills. Normally
you would not use the 120 degree protion of the center drill. But
if a 120 degree break is needed, the program will accurately
calculate the distance needed to achieve the break.
/LAP command line switch
Use this command line switch on laptop & vga monochrome systems
to get a useable color palette.
